Heartbreaker…

Girls San Fran played an earnest, heart wrenching and stoned gig that I thoroughly enjoyed. And kept welling up with tears… because of the music, and because the lead singer looked so painfully thin and unhealthy compared to the last time i saw them. But the tears were mainly a culmination of a few very tough weeks involving a visa application, and J. leaving Sydney for a few weeks. 

Still sung my heart out ‘you’ve been a bitch, and i’ve been an ass… i know that you hate me’. J doesnt feel like new tracks from ‘Broken Dreams Club’ have the same radio friendly sass as some of the ‘Album’ tracks, but i think the new EP is darker, more complex and definitely has more interesting production. ‘Carolina’ is an exercise in blissed out shoegaze heaven.
