simply look around and view it.

One man bands are largely underrated. Just saw the immensely talented Stairs to Korea, he didn’t have the one man band novelty factor…like the AWESOME Bob Log, so wasn’t thrashing various limbs attached to drums and whatnot. But he did make some very nice unpretentious layered tunes, and finished with a Willy Wonka cover. Unashamedly love the old Willy Wonka film, i know a certain set of sisters who’d give Gene Wilder one based solely on that movie.

Ahem, i digress, Stairs to Korea, very nice, maybe a touch of the Fleet Foxes. Maybe at a stretch. His stand out tune for me was Guy Fawkes and a newbie he played at the end that’s coming out on Brainlove label shortly. He was also adorably nervous, hairy, grateful for the applause and generally pretty unco; with a pretty sweet cartoon cat jumper to boot.

There’s another one man band, Lewis Floyd Henry, of the limb thrashing variety, that used to always busk on Brick Lane. Lately I’ve seen him outside Tottenham Court Rd station, he must be raking it in. Theres always a massive crowd, and he is *sigh* quite dreamy so has loads of groupies. Busker with multiple groupies. That’s got to be the exception of the rule.

P.S. Promise not to go down the achingly contrived ‘lyrics as blog titles’ route. This probably won’t be the last, but like buskers with groupies, they’ll be the exception.
