Going to see Nouvelle Vague tonight…I can’t wait. AND it’s at the Roundhouse, which I love as a gig venue. Awesome acoustics and so steeped in London’s wild post punk history.
I actually know very little about the members of the band. I think they rotate vocalists and stuff, but I love their sound. I like how they have such a different take on those synth-y new wave songs like Love will tear us apart etc that have become so much a part of our psyche (and so heavily appropriated)
It’s perfect music for lying down and floating away on some sweet breathy melodies. And errrr…good for other lying down things.
